The MAGS System offers the standard demographic information including name, address, phone, sex, grade, birthday, ethnic code, special ed. status, socio-econ status, 1st language, transportation information, student enrollment status, parents, emergency contacts, counselor, homeroom, advisor, locker information, etc. In addition, the student's activities and organizations can be listed (football, glee club, honor society, etc). Other features include a 1st child code to allow generation of mailing labels for only 1 per household. Additional mailing addresses generate labels to multiple households for any student. Sensitive fields can be identified to not print on reports. Additional codes, defined by you, can be set up for each student to meet any special requirements you may have. Student data can be easily transferred from the elementary school to the middle school to the high school as they progress.

The MAGS System tracks attendance on a period basis, allowing up to 9 periods per day. Coding the attendance allows you to know the reason for a student absence. You determine what constitutes a day or 1/2 day absence. The calendar maintains holidays, snow days, inservice days, etc., to give you an accurate attendance report at any time. This system will handle full or 1/2 day kindergarten, pre-kindergarten and early childhood students. Maintain an accurate history of student's drops and returns. Prepare the required transportation report, ADA/ADM report, instructional hours report and enrollment report. Get attendance reports by day, by student, by type as well as consecutive absences, perfect attendance and other selected reports. Daily absences and tardies can be input by the attendance clerk, or by the classroom teacher. Prepare your own attendance forms for the teacher with a laser printer.

The MAGS System gives you the ability to create your own grading scale using the standard A,B,C,D,F as well as special codes like Pass/Fail, Incomplete, etc. Generate honor rolls using your criteria. Create down-slips. Print your own grade cards on a laser printer. A teacher grade-book module allows automatic posting of grades or the office supervisor can input grades individually. Keep accurate GPA's for all courses and pre-college courses required by the Regents universities. Prepare eligibility reports. Print transcripts for current and previous years. Maintain credits by department. Summary information is kept for 1 year past graduation. Detail information is kept for the immediate past school year. The MAGS System includes a TRUE class scheduling module. Transport student demographic data from the lower grades, enter next year's class requests, and let the scheduler do its thing. Pre-scheduling reports identify obvious conflicts. Pre-set course assignments or let the scheduler find the best fit taking into account priorities, seating limits and leveling of multiple offerings. Post-scheduling reports will give you help on determining necessary adjustments, like no interest in a particular course, or the need to add another offering or reassign a course. Run the scheduler as often as you like until you get the desired results. Manually make any minor adjustments and you're ready for the new year. The year-end roll-over process takes only a few minutes to update the history files, and make the scheduling files ready for the new school year. Take the summer off! (Yeah! Right!). The MAGS System offers a module used to track information about student discipline. Information is entered by student, date, referring teacher, and the reason for the referral. Other information includes the disposition or action taken, disposition date, and notes, comments or annotations. Reports can be generated using any combination of this information.

The MAGS System offers a complete package for the Health Nurse to maintain records of all students during their entire schooling. Keep track of hearing, vision and dental exams, physical exams, immunizations, illness and medication records. Know when exams and immunizations are due. Note action taken and referrals. Track each student from Kindergarten to High School graduation. A must for any school.
